Currently working on the temporary schedule for the 2014 Season. We still have some gaps to fill but we are steadily working toward addins some more venues and events the the roster.

Good morning Chase,
I was just noticing that some of the XC events have been posted. The Kelowna Hill Climb and PC Airport events look really great. Sadly the darn spring seeding is going to interfer with those. But I am hoping for the FSJ Airport and of course DC events from say June onward. The hill climb actually really looks attractive and that it would be a great experience. I wonder, do they ever run it downhill as well as up?
I just about put the road insurance back on my car on Thursday but decided to hold off and this Tuesday will probably be just as good. I want to wait until the snow is good and gone for the spring.

Hey Gary! yeah the Knox hill climb looks awesome. Not sure of we are gonna make it this year as it takes a bit more pre requisites to participate but it is definitely a thought for next year.

Good morning Chase,
What out of the ordinary rule requirements re: prerequisites to participate do you think would be challenging?
I'm always wondering about going off the open hillside! When I was in Switzerland a few years ago a friend took me up a mountain where I was "coaxed" to try out a traditional Swiss toboggan. You can hit some rediculous speeds, I had my Garmin Forerunner with me and I recall it was in excess of 50 km/hr if you don't restrain yourself and there is nothing on the open hillside to stop you if you go off, no snow fence or anything - just a few thousand feet tumbling down until you come to a rest at the bottom on the hill. Oddly enough I actually did it a second time.
I've watched Pikes Peak before and this is the impression I am left with, on a smaller scale of course. Plus no Chicago Boxes for me to blow!!
How is the Civic going, I recall there was a thread of some bodywork being done........were you able to complete your winter projects for the car?
I still hope to make it to bring the Z06 home this week. I have to go to bring a combine header home from GP and also to pick up some canola seed near Rycroft so I'll be in the neighbourhood if I can arrange to bring a driver with me.
Any dates for DC XC'ing yet??

A change in plans - the trailer got rented so I couldn't do that so..............I went and got teh Z06 instead and brought it home!
Wow I'd forgotten over the winter what it is like to drive it. That is some experience. Pity it is going to rain tomorrow but I will be happy just to look out the window and to see it in the driveway.

I'll have to update that thread for the build. I actually finished it yesterday and took it out for a spin. The newly setup suspension feels great and the the roll cage looks spectacular Props to my bro for doing a great job on the welding. As for the Knox hill climb it requires a lot of things before you can enter. - Rollcage is required (FIA Standards) - Window Netting - 5 Point Harness - Racing Suit (Gloves, shoes and coveralls need to be FIA regulated) - Competition Licence I think we are going to plan for a bunch of us to take the license next year as the dates this year are already full and it doesn't look like they will be holding any more classes this year. Apparently it is extremely hard to find competent instructors.

I look forward to more pictures fromyour winter work. Hummm. I guess they could be from as recent as last week too! Now that was crushing. 5 to 6" of heavy wet snow and it is only going away now. I hope to take the Z06 out again today. Hard enough to ever consder driving it in mud to get to the highway let alone on gravel.
Wow that is A LOT more involved than I was ever thinking. I don't think I'll be challenging that type of racing then unless it is with a fresh car. Maybe down the road I'll keep an eye out for something built for that. No doubt it would be terrific fun to try but just too many mods that I'm not likely to consider for just that type of racing. This makes the easy of getting into autocrossing even more attractive/affordable. But I can see their point too - you wouldn't want a lot of cars/drivers flying off the side of a hill - bad publicity!
Any of the other folks cars out and around now?
Is there a group heading out to PG next weekend? My gf would be thrilled to go but my trailer has not arrived yet, postponed until May 7th now..............and then the darn nuisance of seeding time probably preventing participation for a few weeks in May. I hope that someone will take/post pictures from it though.

"Attending", does that mean participating or watching. Either way I'm expecting it is going to be an excellent experience. I wonder what sorts of cars will be there this year?? Let me know what you guys think of the experience please...........
