Ministers acknowledged the growing trend of coal-fired power generation in the region and highlighted ASEAN's efforts in promoting clean coal technology. The minister also supports accelerating the deployment of clean coal technology in the ASEAN region.” Coal is one of the important resources in ASEAN, especially for building base power plants. And ASEAN countries need financial support and policy promotion to accelerate the construction of power plants with clean coal technology in the region.” iq2665ad00079fb63baa44aedee7f9c307 WCA President Michelle Manuk said, “On behalf of WCA, and our members We are delighted to sign a 3-year record deal with ACE. Collaborating with WCA is the next step for ASEAN in enhancing the role of clean coal technology. To facilitate the transition to sustainable development and reduced emissions. We look forward to working with WCA. To promote the role of clean coal technology towards the energy change and low carbon economy Increase public awareness of clean coal technology. and for research Develop and create innovations in clean coal technology in ASEAN" Michel added, “ASEAN countries have a right to affordable energy sources and build societies through the important role coal plays in steel and cement production. Not just coal Instead, emerging economies can choose to use clean technologies such as coal, wind, solar and gas that they believe will create affordable energy. and create stability in energy production safely It is time for industry, government and investors to work together to advance the transition to clean energy. We look forward to working with ACE. and ASEAN governments to support comprehensive policies on all fuels and technologies."
